Business Analyst (Fintech)

TL;DR

Business Analyst (Fintech): Supporting front-office data operations and driving data quality improvements for a top-tier investment firm with an accent on buy-side asset management workflows. Focus on translating complex business requirements into technical deliverables and managing data integration between internal systems and vendor platforms.

Location: Must be based in London, UK (Hybrid: office attendance required a couple of days per week). Working hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM London time.

What you will do

• Communicate with portfolio managers, traders, and product owners to clarify and document data and reporting requirements.
• Perform gap analysis and define requirements for automated data quality and reconciliation checks.
• Prepare and maintain data mappings between internal systems and vendor platforms.
• Identify opportunities to improve front-office data workflows and enhance data consistency.
• Collaborate with data engineers and developers to design reliable data products.

Requirements

• Must have hands-on experience in the asset management domain, specifically within front-office or portfolio management functions.
• 3+ years of experience working on data-heavy projects with complex datasets.
• Strong understanding of pricing and positions data.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with front-office asset management systems like BlackRock Aladdin or State Street platforms.
• CFA certification.
