NOC Engineer

TL;DR

NOC Engineer: Serve as the first line of defense for production systems in a high-scale live-streaming platform with an accent on monitoring, incident detection, and rapid resolution. Focus on diagnosing complex issues in code, databases, logs, and traces, leading incident management, and driving observability improvements.

Location: Warsaw office (4 days onsite, 1 day work from home)

What you will do

• Assess incident severity with L1 Support and use monitoring tools to detect anomalies early.
• Troubleshoot production issues in code, databases, logs, and traces to resolve major incidents quickly.
• Escalate incidents effectively and lead communication for rapid resolution.
• Maintain Runbook library and NOC knowledge base.
• Analyze observability, reliability, and recovery time to prioritize improvements.
• Lead incident management, reviews, and execute operational/security requests.
• Own individual projects to enhance production systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years in application monitoring or production support
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Slack/Incident.io integrations
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, Spinnaker
• Intermediate English (spoken & written)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, time management, and multitasking skills
• Experience with service-based applications
• Position at Warsaw location

Nice to have

• Production support in public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• 1+ years Linux administration
• Interest in automation, telemetry, reliability improvement
