What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using C and Java for mainframe and distributed environments.
• Implement high-performance telemetry collection software based on OpenTelemetry specs, agents, and collectors.
• Lead projects in mainframe observability, mentoring junior engineering team members to foster technical excellence.
• Collaborate with product managers and architects to translate requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Contribute to overall product architecture to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Develop and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure software functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on C/C++ and Java.
• Proven experience with OpenTelemetry and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and CI/CD engineering.
• Must be based in Prague, Czech Republic

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Mainframe systems and technologies, including Assembler and JCL.
