What you will do

• Lead construction contract administration and act as the Ministry Representative on assigned projects.
• Oversee contractor performance to ensure compliance with contract documents, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise day labour construction forces, including hiring equipment and materials.
• Manage project budgets, including estimating, cost forecasting, and certifying quantities for payment.
• Resolve construction claims and disputes in collaboration with project managers and clients.
• Direct and mentor field staff while maintaining accurate project documentation and as-built drawings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Transportation, or Construction Engineering (2+ years exp) or a technical diploma (4+ years exp).
• Extensive experience supervising field staff and managing construction contracts and resources.
• Proven track record of delivering complex highway or transportation infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTT) Standard Specifications.
• Ability to work outdoors in variable weather and travel throughout British Columbia, including working away from home.
• Valid driver’s license.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of construction surveying and digital terrain models (Civil 3D / CAiCE).
