What you will do

  • Enable team to continuously deliver customer value in short cycles through clear expectations, ownership, and impediment removal.
  • Foster psychologically safe environment for experimentation, learning, and improvement.
  • Lead through coaching, feedback, and mentoring while balancing autonomy and alignment.
  • Leverage modern tools, automation, and AI practices to improve quality, speed, and experience.
  • Collaborate closely with Product to prioritize outcomes over mere delivery.
  • Stay hands-on with code (30–50%) while focusing on engineering quality, maintainability, testing, performance, and security.

Requirements

  • Based in Liège, Belgium with hybrid work (remote up to 50%).
  • Strong software engineering background, comfortable staying hands-on (30–50%).
  • Experience as Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or senior engineer with people leadership impact.
  • Deep care for engineering quality, maintainability, testing, performance, and security.
  • Skills in creating safe environments, coaching, fast feedback loops, and pragmatic tool adoption.
  • Ability to work closely with Product on customer value and outcomes.
