What you will do

  • Lead and manage a team of 5-8 engineers, providing technical direction and career development.
  • Balance hands-on technical contribution (coding, PR reviews) with people leadership.
  • Partner with the Head of Engineering to implement and drive engineering transformation initiatives.
  • Define the engineering roadmap, including the strategic leverage of AI for products and processes.
  • Establish and reinforce engineering standards, best practices, and a culture of accountability.
  • Collaborate with product and other engineering leads to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with proven technical depth.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience leading engineering teams.
  • Experience working in an agency or consulting environment managing multiple projects and client delivery.
  • Track record of improving team performance and developing engineering talent.
  • Must be comfortable working hybrid in Antwerp, Belgium.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide and receive candid feedback.

Nice to have

  • Comfortability with native mobile technologies (Swift, Kotlin, KMP) and web frameworks (React, React Native).
