What you will do

• Directly manage, grow, and recruit a high-performing software engineering team.
• Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed plans and schedules.
• Lead the evolution of software engineering practices, including metrics and development methodology.
• Oversee the full DevOps lifecycle, ensuring high standards for design, automation, monitoring, and testing.
• Collaborate with product and program management to implement a coherent development strategy.
• Explore and integrate generative AI and foundation models to re-imagine the AWS builder experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience in engineering team management.
• Strong knowledge of the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards and livesite operations.
• Experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Ability to partner effectively with product and program management teams.
• Location: Must be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
