Staff Software Engineer (Identity/Go): Leading the Identity Accounts platform to power authentication, authorization, and account management for millions of users with an accent on scalability and reliability. Location: Remote (USA). Must be based in or able to commute to NYC or SF for office visits once or twice a week.

Salary: $218,025 — $256,500 USD

What you will do

• Drive roadmap execution across Foundations, Users Platformization, and Settings & Account Management sub-teams.
• Own reliability and operational excellence for 8+ mission-critical Tier-0/Tier-1 services, maintaining 99.99% uptime.
• Collaborate with Security, Risk, Compliance, and Design teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Define strategic roadmaps and translate complex constraints into scalable platform solutions.
• Champion engineering excellence through code/design reviews and building composable, reusable capabilities.
• Accelerate internal customer onboarding and deliver high-quality APIs and documentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven track record of architecting high-throughput, high-availability systems at scale.
• Experience leading AI/LLM product development (agents, code gen) in production.
• Strong command of Go, gRPC, Kubernetes, and service mesh architectures.
• Ability to drive technical clarity in ambiguous situations and influence across organizational boundaries.
• Based in or able to commute to NYC or SF.

Nice to have

• Experience in identity, authentication, authorization, or account management systems.
• Prior experience leading a Platform team with high internal customer dependency.
• Familiarity with React, SpiceDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Datadog.
• Background building financial, high-reliability, or security systems.
