Location: Remote (US) or Hybrid in Nashville, TN. Non-local candidates must be able to travel to Nashville at least twice per year for company events.

Salary: $175,000–$235,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Architect and own core AWS infrastructure, defining patterns for EKS/ECS cluster design, VPC topology, and IAM governance.
• Lead platform modernization by simplifying the software delivery lifecycle and building the foundation for AI product initiatives.
• Define and instrument SLOs and SLIs within the observability stack to ensure consistent reliability across environments.
• Establish DevOps engineering standards for IaC patterns, CI/CD architecture, and container orchestration.
• Mentor a team of five platform engineers through design reviews, pairing, and architecture guidance.
• Partner with Information Security to lead vulnerability assessments and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure.
• Expert-level AWS fluency (EKS, ECS, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC).
• Deep Kubernetes expertise in cluster architecture, networking, RBAC, and autoscaling.
• Strong proficiency with Terraform for creating maintainable and extensible IaC modules.
• Experience operating CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pulumi, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Background in fintech, lending, or other highly regulated industries.
• FinOps experience in cloud cost governance and spend transparency.
• Knowledge of developer experience tooling such as Backstage or OpsLevel.
