Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern

TL;DR

Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern: Lead development and tracking of EHS projects across Baltimore sites with an accent on safety inspections, KPI analysis, and training coordination. Focus on evaluating job hazards, digitizing records, and updating sustainability milestones.

Location: Onsite at Vicinity Baltimore, 1400 Ridgely St, Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship.

Salary: $18.00-20.00 per hour

What you will do

• Track and update milestones for sustainability projects across multiple sites.
• Analyze and update safety and environmental key performance indicators.
• Conduct site inspections and walkthroughs to evaluate PPE usage and job hazards.
• Develop training schedules and enroll employees in relevant courses based on job roles and hazards.
• Maintain tracking sheets for licenses, training reports, and safety incentive metrics.
• Create calendars for license expiration alerts and digitize asbestos records.

Requirements

• Second or third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related field.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• At least 1 year of relevant work or internship experience.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and data management skills.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
