TL;DR

Technical Lead (Technical Publications) (Engineering): Creating and revising Maintenance Instructions for refurbished hydroelectric power stations with an accent on mechanical engineering knowledge and CMS integration. Focus on managing technical authoring teams, defining production tasks, and ensuring alignment with customer specifications.

Location: Hybrid (Bristol, UK). Regular on‑site visits to the customer’s location in North Wales are required.

What you will do

• Act as the day-to-day technical expert and primary point of contact for the project team.
• Scope and define tasks for production by operational authoring and illustration teams.
• Monitor deliverables to ensure quality and project KPIs are successfully met.
• Review project schedules to ensure accurate delivery to key milestones.
• Develop and deploy processes, training, and production methods to drive efficiency gains.
• Collaborate with the PM to create development strategies for organizational capability continuity.

Requirements

• Proven experience creating and compiling Maintenance Instructions in a power generation environment.
• Academic or practical engineering background in a related field.
• Experience leading teams within a technical publications role.
• Experience working with structured data and Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Strong English language capability.
• Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with hydroelectric power plants.
• Familiarity with Generative AI.
