hirify.global Local’s Audience Growth team in the Central Editorial Team, based largely in Birmingham and Salford, covering news online, sport, data journalism, radio news, social media and innovation.

What you will do

• Lead and deliver analytics projects, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Collaborate with Audience, Editorial and Product teams to provide tactical and strategic insights.
• Offer audience insights, story ideas and pre/post-publication optimisation advice to boost content visibility.
• Translate complex data into actionable recommendations using storytelling techniques.
• Support editorial teams in data-informed decisions and build a data culture through training.
• Provide hands-on support for the daily news agenda and develop cross-product growth strategies.

Requirements

• Strong editorial judgement with experience creating digital content to tight deadlines under pressure.
• Proven expertise in SEO and analytics tools (Chartbeat, Telescope, Piano, Google Search Console) to drive editorial action.
• Analytical thinking, high numeracy and Excel skills.
• Ability to manage project teams, prioritise work and handle your own time.
• Editorial experience in content production, formats, user needs and newsroom workflows.
• Knowledge of digital trends, platforms and AI innovations.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
