Business Analyst (Fintech)

TL;DR

Business Analyst (Fintech): Building a greenfield fintech platform for a banking institution with an accent on business requirements analysis and backlog management. Focus on translating business needs into technical specifications and coordinating between stakeholders and the development team.

Location: Hybrid (Warsaw, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Kraków, Rzeszów) — 3 days a week in the office

Salary: 500-800 PLN per man-day (B2B)

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for a banking product area.
• Act as a Product Owner within the squad, owning the backlog, prioritizing features, and making acceptance decisions.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Collaborate with the Tech Lead and developers to ensure requirements are technically feasible.
• Work with the QA Engineer to define acceptance criteria and validate delivered features.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and maintain up-to-date product documentation.

Requirements

• Commercial experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
• Experience in the financial services or banking domain.
• Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
• Experience working within cross-functional agile teams.
• English: Ability to communicate freely in spoken and written form.

Nice to have

• Experience acting as a Product Owner (backlog ownership, prioritization).
• Prior experience with greenfield fintech or digital banking platform builds.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures or modern tech stacks.
• Experience in the Middle Eastern financial services market.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services.
