Principal Software Engineer (Medtech)

What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of complex, scalable, and secure software release and configuration management systems using Agile and Scrum.
• Architect and build high-quality Windows and AWS components using modern frameworks.
• Define architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices for the full technology stack.
• Ensure software solutions meet strict security, privacy, and medical device regulatory requirements (FDA, IEC 62304, IEC 82304).
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance on system designs, APIs, and data models.
• Represent the technical team within the wider organization and drive continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, CS, or related field with 7+ years of experience, or an Advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in technical leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in Windows application development using .NET, C#, and C++.
• Strong back-end development skills including AWS, REST APIs, and Databases.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms and automation.
• Deep knowledge of secure SDLC practices and software risk management.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Background in regulated or enterprise-scale environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-connected medical devices.
• Ability to balance compliance and security with delivery velocity.
