What you will do

• Produce high-quality real-time VFX aligned with the project's artistic direction and visual universe.
• Create ambient environment effects and gameplay VFX to enhance mood and provide player feedback.
• Develop complex pixel and vertex shaders using particle systems, fluid sims, and physics simulations.
• Collaborate with designers, lighting artists, and engineers to integrate effects into the build and optimize performance.
• Innovate new techniques for next-gen hardware and expand the internal VFX toolset.
• Mentor new hires and support recruitment efforts within the Art department.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AAA console/PC game development.
• 3+ years of professional experience with Unreal Engine (Cascade UE4/UE5).
• Strong portfolio showcasing high-fidelity real-time VFX work.
• Proficiency in creating source art including textures, geometry, flipbooks, and normal maps.
• Deep understanding of animation principles and real-time VFX constraints.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with HLSL shader creation.
• Proficiency in Houdini.
• Experience in texturing, modeling, skinning, animation, or lighting.
