What you will do

• Drive the transition to a new DataPlatform using Dagster, dbt, AWS ECS, and GCP BigQuery.
• Develop custom tooling, monitoring, data-checks, and CI/CD processes to increase data team efficiency.
• Maintain and optimize high-volume Core-ELT pipelines moving terabytes of data from MySQL to BigQuery.
• Take ownership of critical reports that serve as the foundation for executive board decisions.
• Implement daytime synchronization processes while ensuring source system performance is not impacted.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Data Science.
• Proven experience in Data Engineering and Software Engineering building business-critical data pipelines.
• Deep practical experience with Dagster, dbt, Google BigQuery, and AWS (ECS).
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with Docker and Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure deployment.
• Strong application of software engineering principles, including testing and design patterns.
