TL;DR

Data Scientist (Marketplace Analytics): Analyze and optimize marketplace performance and talent behavior from acquisition to retention with an accent on marketing effectiveness, talent lifecycle, and supply-demand dynamics. Focus on defining key metrics, building dbt models, developing attribution models, and designing experiments to drive business decisions.

Location: Hybrid in Berlin (remote up to 2 days/week, 1 day during first 6 months for onboarding; office in Prenzlauer Berg)

What you will do

• Define and maintain key metrics across marketplace and user lifecycle using reliable dbt models.
• Build self-service dashboards, reporting layers, and playbooks for cross-functional teams.
• Develop attribution models (multi-touch, data-driven, Marketing Mix Models) for channel contributions.
• Model talent behavior including conversion, retention, and Customer Lifetime Value.
• Design and analyze experiments (A/B tests, incrementality tests) for marketing and product changes.

Requirements

• 4+ years in analytics, data science, or marketing science/analytics, ideally in marketplace/platform business
• Expert-level SQL and strong dbt or similar transformation tools experience
• Proficiency with BI tools (Metabase, Tableau, Streamlit)
• Deep understanding of digital marketing (Google, Meta, TikTok, Salesforce)
• Hands-on with attribution modeling, experimentation, performance measurement
• High ownership: proactively identify problems and drive end-to-end solutions
