What you will do

• Perform technical evaluation of customer requests for advanced optical coatings and complex optical components.
• Develop and simulate the performance of optical components as part of sophisticated optical systems.
• Engineer new production methods and processes including polishing, cleaning, coating, and optical bonding.
• Take responsibility for subprojects within complex R&D projects.
• Support production teams with technical troubleshooting and resolve technical difficulties.
• Supervise existing measurement techniques and integrate novel analysis equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor or MS degree in Optics, Photonics, or Physics.
• Several years of experience in the field of complex optical components and optical glass processing.
• Extensive experience in designing optical components using Zemax.
• Expertise in optical performance specification, measurement equipment, and coating technology.
• Bi-lingual communication skills in German and English are required.
• Strong organization and data analysis skills.
