What you will do

• Define and drive the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities for a team of 3 to 6 engineers.
• Own architectural decisions, overseeing implementation to ensure maintainability, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Support the development team in delivering high-impact initiatives on time.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering using SQL, Python, Spark or similar frameworks.
• 2+ years in a leadership role managing engineering teams and driving technical decisions.
• Experience designing and operating reliable production data pipelines (batch and event-driven).
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with non-technical stakeholders and external partners.
• Proven ability to convert business requirements into actionable technical specifications.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka).
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as AWS, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Experience evolving domain data models in operationally complex environments.
