What you will do

• Act as the subject matter expert for major database platforms including SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Troubleshoot and optimize database performance within complex, multi-platform environments.
• Design and present technical solutions that integrate databases with storage arrays, covering RAID, replication, and snapshotting.
• Develop automation scripts and integrate solutions using Python, Shell, and RESTful APIs.
• Author technical documentation such as white papers, best practices, and deployment guides.
• Provide technical enablement, training, and advisory services to customers and field teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on DBA experience with enterprise database platforms.
• Strong expertise in performance tuning, backup strategies, and architecture review.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash/Shell, and working knowledge of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and AIX OS administration, including virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, LPARs).
• Must be based in the USA to support a hybrid work model.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in technical sales, pre-sales, or field engineering roles.
• Familiarity with cloud database platforms like AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Oracle Cloud.
• Experience with containerized databases using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Skill in writing automation scripts for performance benchmarking.
