Data Governance Analyst (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Execute system documentation for legacy and archival data systems.
• Perform metadata capture, validation, and accuracy checks against established quality standards.
• Coordinate with Data Owners and Stewards to verify metadata attributes.
• Document data lineage, business definitions, and technical specifications.
• Conduct data quality assessments and support enterprise catalog ingest preparation.
• Contribute to usability and user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, data governance, or metadata management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and SharePoint.
• Experience documenting data systems, databases, or data catalogs.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Strong written communication skills for technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with data catalog platforms such as Collibra or Alation.
• Knowledge of SQL for data exploration and validation.
• Federal government or DoD contractor experience.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards like HL7 and FHIR.
• Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools.
