Hardware Engineer (Aviation)

TL;DR

Hardware Engineer (Aviation): Supporting hardware engineering for simulators and training devices with an accent on electrical and mechanical systems. Focus on designing CAD drawings, wiring schematics, and installing and verifying hardware components at customer sites.

Location: Hybrid (Homebush office). Must be an Australian Citizen to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Develop simulation hardware solutions and produce all relevant technical documentation.
• Define and update CAD drawings and wiring schematics for computer systems, racks, cockpit, and avionic interfaces.
• Install, integrate, and verify hardware components at customer sites.
• Maintain development folders to capture hardware development activities.
• Provide support for hardware interface changes and ensure compliance with Engineering Management Procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, Advanced Diploma, or Cert IV in a relevant engineering or hardware domain.
• Functional expertise in hardware and electrical engineering principles.
• Must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible for an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
• Ability to work from the Homebush office in a hybrid capacity (3 days on-site, 2 days flexible).
• Willingness to travel to sites within driving distance or interstate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience in the defence or aviation industry.
• Prior experience working on flight simulation devices.
