Location: Hybrid in Helsinki, Finland. Relocation is supported.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of mechanical and thermal activities for satellite projects.
• Perform physical architecture trade-off analysis, including primary and secondary structural design.
• Manage mass budgets, including CoG, alignment, and moments of inertia, alongside structural and vibration analysis.
• Design and analyze field of view and motion mechanisms.
• Support AIT design and implementation flow, including GSE design and satellite alignment strategies.
• Handle technical supply chain management and component pre-selection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in the GEO space industry.
• Hands-on expertise in FEM, specifically with NASTRAN and NX CAD/CAE tools.
• Experience in mechanical and thermal qualification campaigns within the space domain.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup based in Helsinki, Finland.

Nice to have

• Background in testing and analysis, including model validation, correlation, and model reduction.
• Experience with concurrent engineering activities and feasibility studies.
