What you will do

• Lead the technical strategy and architectural design for scalable business management and financial systems.
• Modernize legacy .NET applications into modular .NET 8, GraphQL, and cloud-native architectures using AWS (ECS/EKS).
• Define best practices for API design, database modeling, caching, and performance optimization.
• Provide technical mentorship to development teams and review system designs for architectural consistency.
• Establish and champion DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code standards using Azure DevOps.
• Drive improvements in application reliability and scalability leveraging New Relic and OpenTelemetry.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years in architecture or lead engineering roles.
• Deep expertise in C#/.NET Core (7 or 8) and enterprise application design patterns.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, and database performance tuning.
• Proven experience with Angular, front-end integration, and API design.
• Ability to design multi-tenant, high-availability, and scalable cloud environments.
• Must be based in the US or Canada and eligible to work without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL (HotChocolate) and OpenTelemetry instrumentation.
• Familiarity with AWS Lambda, Terraform, Docker, and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Background in financial, accounting, or ERP domain models.
