What you will do

• Develop short- and long-term communications plans aligned with DoD priorities.
• Draft messaging frameworks, key messages, and audience segmentation strategies.
• Synchronize communication efforts across divisions, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Support campaign execution through content calendars, briefs, and tactical plans.
• Research programs, policies, and audience insights to inform proactive messaging.
• Prepare talking points and event materials for leadership and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, Political Science, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in communication planning, campaign support, or public affairs.
• Professional experience within a military, federal, or public sector environment.
• Public Trust clearance required (or the ability to obtain one).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to adapt messages to diverse audiences.
• Based in or near Washington, DC / Arlington, VA.

• Familiarity with Army structure, values, and communication protocols.
• Understanding of Army strategic priorities such as modernization, readiness, and integrated deterrence.
• Experience with social media platforms, digital content planning, and communication metrics.
