What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and internal platforms used across the company.
• Own features and projects end-to-end, from technical design to production.
• Contribute to automation and orchestration systems to improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and implement rigorous testing to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to solve meaningful problems.
• Write clear technical documentation for internal systems and processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (specifically MySQL).
• Solid understanding of server-side web application architectures and Docker.
• Proficiency in Git and GitHub-based workflows.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Rome, Italy.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, SQS, EC2).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
• Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) principles.
• Experience with the Koa web framework.
• Linux shell scripting and Unix system administration skills.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD pipelines.
