Salary: $156,000 – $212,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead strategic product research using shipping data to prioritize high-value features and identify delivery optimization opportunities.
• Develop advanced machine learning prototypes, such as intelligent routing algorithms and dynamic pricing models.
• Design and execute A/B testing and experimental frameworks using inferential statistical techniques to measure product impact.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level data scientists.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders to align on success metrics and strategic priorities.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data science or analytics with a track record of delivering shipped product developments.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for ML and statistical modeling, and strong SQL skills for querying large datasets.
• Experience with Databricks and lakehouse patterns, including Spark and MLflow.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into structured analytical frameworks.
• Must be based in the US (excluding Delaware, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Hawaii, New Mexico, and West Virginia) or be eligible for international remote employment via Remote.com.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience in shipping logistics or carrier operations.
• Experience establishing team-wide standards for metrics governance and model readiness.
