Base Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 CAD

What you will do

• Support migration work including data handling, transformation, validation, reconciliation, testing, and cutover.
• Own automation end-to-end: identify manual workflows, design, build, test, document, and improve solutions.
• Build automations using Python, SQL, Excel/Power Query, APIs, and AI tools to reduce manual work and boost reliability.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Product, Compliance, and vendors to unblock priorities.
• Document workflows, runbooks, and exceptions to make processes repeatable.
• Drive systems-improvement initiatives across core operations and Self-Directed business.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years in operations, business systems, automation, or data workflows.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Strong Excel; Power Query required, VBA asset.
• Experience with APIs, CSV/flat files, data transformations, multi-system workflows.
• Practical AI tools experience for automation, coding, analysis, testing, documentation.
• Examples of built/improved tools, scripts, automations, or AI workflows.
• High ownership, follow-through, judgment in ambiguity; bias toward automation.
• Clear communication with technical/non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Fintech, brokerage, investing operations, or financial systems experience.
• Platform migrations, reconciliations, operational controls.
• Familiarity with IRESS, NDEX, or similar systems.
• Building internal tools/automations adopted by teams.
