TL;DR

Controller (Finance): Oversee global accounting operations, production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records and controls, external reporting, SEC filings, global tax compliance, and treasury management. Focus on designing organizational structures, enforcing policies, managing subsidiaries, ensuring GAAP/IFRS/SEC compliance, and leading financial teams across regions.

Hybrid: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday based out of Headquarters in Maple Plain, MN. Only open to U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), or foreign nationals granted refugee or asylee status due to ITAR regulations. Individuals with temporary visas (e.g., E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J, TN, OPT) are not eligible.

What you will do

• Oversee accounting department operations, organizational structure, policies, and procedures.
• Issue timely financial statements, provide analyses, and prepare special reports.
• Maintain controls over transactions, manage subsidiary accounting, and handle SEC/ statutory filings (UK, Germany, Netherlands).
• Oversee global tax compliance, treasury, and cash flow management.
• Manage external relationships (audit, banking, tax), coordinate audits, and ensure legal compliance.
• Lead financial staff through recruiting, training, coaching, and performance management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Active CPA
• 9+ years of accounting experience, preferably with a public company
• Financial leadership and management of accounting function
• Experience with international subsidiaries and international accounting standards
• Deep understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and SEC regulations; expertise in reporting, consolidation, internal controls

Nice to have

• Proven success in SEC reporting/compliance, SOX/internal controls, ERP implementation/optimization, leading global teams
• Strong command of financial systems, automation tools, data analytics
• Skills in risk management, tax strategy, treasury coordination, process improvement
