What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to build and maintain reliable systems using Python and React TypeScript.
• Take ownership of feature development, breaking down complex challenges into quality code across multiple services and APIs.
• Write modular, well-tested code and contribute to integration, load, and UAT testing.
• Identify and resolve backend issues to maintain high performance and minimize downtime.
• Shape backend architecture and design scalable, secure systems to enable long-term growth.
• Mentor junior engineers, advocate for engineering best practices, and maintain clear technical documentation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with Python API development.
• 2+ years of experience with MongoDB.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong skills in backend architecture, system design, and API building.
• Must be based in the United States, Canada, or a similar time zone for collaboration purposes.
• Solid understanding of modern software design principles.

Nice to have

• Experience designing APIs using the API Repository Pattern.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure.
• 1+ years of experience with React TypeScript.
