What you will do

• Own the design and evolution of policy administration systems as core financial and regulatory infrastructure.
• Lead build vs. buy decisions for insurance solutions and manage their integration and customization.
• Design system workflows for endorsements, mid-term changes, cancellations, renewals, and historical policy reconstruction.
• Ensure policy data supports accurate loss ratio measurement, carrier reporting, bordereaux, and reinsurance analysis.
• Partner with actuarial and underwriting teams to translate risk and pricing considerations into system behavior.
• Guide software engineers to ensure technical implementations align with insurance realities and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Deep experience with property & casualty (P&C) insurance systems and policy lifecycles across multiple products.
• Strong understanding of how policy data, pricing, and endorsements flow through filings and reserves.
• Proven track record of implementing or integrating off-the-shelf policy administration systems.
• Experience onboarding new carriers and managing their system and reporting expectations.
• Ability to write clear, unambiguous specifications that engineering teams can build from.
• Must be located in the US or able to work within US time zones
