What you will do

• Build and maintain robust backend services and RESTful APIs using Django and Python.
• Develop and maintain a LangGraph-based workflow execution engine with dynamic control flow.
• Implement microservices for AI model integration and real-time data processing pipelines.
• Design and optimize database schemas to handle complex scientific data and workloads.
• Develop responsive frontend interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and product teams to ship features for life sciences applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong production experience with Django, Python, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Experience developing AI/ML workflows and orchestration systems.
• Strong understanding of SQL databases and complex data modeling.
• Must be based in or work within U.S.-based time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vite.js and modern frontend frameworks.
• Familiarity with NoSQL and vector databases for AI applications.
• Background in life sciences or scientific computing.
• Knowledge of message queuing systems like Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
