What you will do

• Design, build, and scale the services, APIs, and frontend applications powering the platform and partner interfaces.
• Provide technical leadership on system architecture and long-term vision for both backend and frontend.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact initiatives from requirements gathering to rollout.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate horticultural and business requirements into technical solutions.
• Build robust, fault-tolerant systems for processing high-dimension data in distributed environments.
• Mentor engineers and drive the adoption of testing, observability, automation, and CI/CD best practices.

Requirements

• Extensive professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years at a Senior+ level.
• Expert fluency in TypeScript and SQL.
• Extensive experience with React, Next.JS, Node.JS, and mobile app development (React Native).
• Proven success in designing and leading scalable systems from concept to production.
• Proficiency in operating cloud-native infrastructure with observability and monitoring tools.
• Ability to translate business goals into clear technical scope for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem.
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB.
• Experience with Python in a data pipeline context.
• Experience with language models and building agentic applications.
