What you will do
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on code contributions to unblock team, resolve complexity, and accelerate critical paths.
- Drive execution and timely delivery by making quick decisions, clearing obstacles, and enabling the team.
- Mentor engineers through 1:1 feedback, career guidance, pairing, and raising ownership standards.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and stakeholders to align priorities and translate into execution.
- Uphold code quality, testing, reliability, and best practices for scalable systems.
- Leverage AI tools and agentic workflows to boost productivity and engineering quality.
Requirements
- 3–7 years leading engineering teams with strong backend or full-stack web development background.
- Hands-on ability to contribute meaningfully to production code and architecture.
- Player-coach approach: lead through context, anticipate friction, enable autonomy.
- Product instinct to connect engineering to business outcomes and prioritize impact.
- AI fluency in using development tools and agentic workflows.
- System design judgment balancing speed, scalability, maintainability.
- Strong coaching, communication, and decision-making skills.
Nice to have
- Experience coaching IC to tech lead or mid-level to senior transitions.
- Leading in pod/squad models accountable for end-to-end outcomes.
- Familiarity with content platforms, API-driven architectures, or scaled consumer systems.
- Track record using PDLC and user testing to deliver ideas.
