What you will do

• Translate customer requirements and design intent into actionable metal additive manufacturing plans.
• Provide DfAM guidance on build orientation, support strategies, and post-processing-aware design.
• Develop and optimize build files and PBF-LB parameters to ensure high quality and consistency.
• Drive robustness and repeatability of printer platforms using machine behavior and in-process monitoring data.
• Coordinate end-to-end manufacturability across depowder, heat treat, HIP, and machining processes.
• Execute qualification and validation builds to meet aerospace specifications and customer approval.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in metal additive manufacturing, specifically with PBF-LB processes.
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection planning.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required for ITAR compliance.
• Ability to travel up to 15-20% within the U.S.

Nice to have

• Experience with AS9100 quality systems and aerospace qualification documentation.
• Familiarity with AM simulation tools and PLM/MES environments such as NX or Teamcenter.
• Expertise in process validation, capability studies, and multifactorial DOE.
• Knowledge of in-situ monitoring, CT inspection, and metallurgical evaluation.
