Physician Reviewer

Location: Fully remote, work from anywhere in the U.S.

Compensation: $230K annually

What you will do

• Perform DRG clinical validation reviews to confirm diagnoses are accurate, supported, and compliant.
• Evaluate medical records, diagnostic findings, and treatment plans using evidence-based guidelines.
• Prepare concise clinical summaries and determinations within established turnaround times.
• Identify opportunities to improve documentation, coding accuracy, and cost containment.
• Conduct readmission, level-of-care, outlier, and appeal reviews.
• Collaborate with internal teams and providers, and contribute to quality assurance and program development.

Requirements

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license required.
• Board certification through ABMS or AOA required.
• At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
• Strong utilization review experience required, including UM, DRG validation, or clinical documentation review.
• Ability to interpret complex clinical data and apply guidelines objectively.
• Strong written communication skills for clearly justifying clinical decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience with DRG validation, CDI, or claims review.
