What you will do

• Act as a technical leader for the medical device firmware development team.
• Design, code, and debug embedded applications using C and C++ for bare metal and RTOS.
• Integrate firmware with microcontrollers (ARM, PIC32) and peripherals via SPI, I2C, UART, and USB.
• Implement wireless communication technologies including BLE, Wi-Fi, GNSS, and Cellular.
• Perform PCB board bring-up and system debugging using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with IEC 62304 and FDA standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of firmware engineering experience.
• 1+ years of direct experience in developing medical devices.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Brisbane, CA.
• Proficiency with Git and Jira.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity fundamentals and secure coding practices.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Agile/Scrum.
