Principal Software Engineer (Ad-tech)

What you will do

• Take end-to-end technical ownership of a high-revenue web platform and mobile app.
• Design architecture and define the long-term technical strategy.
• Develop server-side rendering pipelines using Node.js, Fastify, and React.
• Manage the data layer across MySQL and BigQuery.
• Oversee GCP infrastructure including Cloud Run, Cloud Build, and Global Load Balancer.
• Optimize ML pipelines and ad-tech integrations including Google Ad Manager and GPT.js.

Requirements

• Production-proven experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Expertise in React within a server-side rendering context.
• Strong skills in MySQL database design and query optimization.
• Experience managing large-scale datasets with BigQuery.
• Hands-on experience with GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Cloud SQL, Load Balancing).
• Must be based in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, or Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Ad-tech industry experience (yield optimization, programmatic advertising).
• Experience with affiliate marketing tools like Anura and Everflow.
• Proficiency with Cloudflare CDN, caching, and Workers.
• Knowledge of Fastify, Flutter, Golang, or Rust.
• Application of machine learning to ad-tech optimization.
