Senior Software Engineer (AI/MedTech)

Location: Must be based in Boston, Massachusetts (Hybrid)

Salary: $145,000 - $165,000 base salary + bonus + equity

What you will do

• Build end-to-end features including backend, database, and high-quality user interfaces.
• Develop accessible UI components using React (NextJS), Tailwind, JollyUI (shadcn), and React Aria.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to prototype and shape new product features based on customer feedback.
• Establish and maintain UI development practices and a well-documented component library.
• Mentor other team members to improve UI quality and provide technical support to customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience building production frontend web applications.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript (2+ years) and React (4+ years).
• Experience using Tailwind with React and building accessible components (React Aria or equivalent).
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and take ownership of features.
• Must be based in Boston, Massachusetts for a hybrid work schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL and fragments.
• Proficiency with logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch and Sentry.
• Experience building AI-related UI, specifically chat interfaces for LLMs.
• Fullstack experience with NextJS/Express backends and SQL databases.
