Financial Education Specialist

TL;DR

Financial Education Specialist (Finance): Coordinating and delivering financial capability programming for refugees and low-income individuals with an accent on debt navigation, credit repair, and case management. Salary: $24.00 - $26.78 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct individual case management and provide support services for program participants.
• Lead financial literacy workshops on budgeting, cash management, and credit building.
• Provide individualized financial counseling and debt navigation coaching to achieve client outcomes.
• Assist clients in accessing mainstream financial services and submitting applications for IRC's CDFI loans.
• Track participant attendance and outcomes using ETO and Salesforce databases.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective integration of financial coaching.

Requirements

• 1+ years of proven experience in client counseling, case management, or coaching.
• High level of familiarity with the U.S. credit and banking system.
• Proficiency in English and another relevant language (Arabic, Dari/Pashto, Swahili, or Haitian Creole preferred).
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel throughout the service area.
• Must be based in or able to work within San Diego County.
• Undergraduate degree in a related field strongly preferred.
