What you will do

• Build scalable systems for training and fine-tuning large-scale models to evaluate driving behaviors.
• Design and scale distributed systems covering the ML lifecycle, including planet-scale dataset generation.
• Optimize ML models used to assess an expansive fleet of vehicles traveling millions of miles.
• Provide guidance on architectural decisions and own large, complex technical systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate product and business goals into measurable technical deliverables.

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, ML, AI, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in ML infrastructure (designing, scaling, training, and deploying large-scale systems).
• Contributions to ML tooling/frameworks such as PyTorch, Jax, Tensorflow, or Ray.
• Strong expertise in distributed training techniques and gradient sharding optimization.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Mountain View, California.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in machine learning infrastructure.
• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or complex simulation environments.
• Familiarity with large-scale simulation platforms integrated with ML training workflows.
