What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain BPMN workflows and DMN decision tables for cross-system process orchestration.
• Build and evolve Java/Spring Boot services that function as Camunda workers, listeners, and integration points.
• Partner with lab operations, clinical, and product stakeholders to translate business requirements into automated workflows.
• Troubleshoot and optimize running processes, collaborating with DevOps on reliability and performance.
• Contribute to code reviews, architectural discussions, and engineering best practices.
• Write automated tests and manage CI/CD pipelines for safe and frequent delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
• Hands-on production experience with Camunda BPM (version 7 or 8).
• Strong proficiency in BPMN 2.0 and DMN for modeling business processes and decision logic.
• Expertise in Java or Kotlin and experience designing Spring Boot services.
• Experience integrating workflows with REST APIs, messaging systems, and relational databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Camunda 8 (Zeebe) and cloud-native deployments.
• Background in healthcare, life sciences, diagnostics, or regulated industries.
• Exposure to event-driven architectures using Kafka or SQS.
• Familiarity with containerization and Kubernetes.
