What you will do

• Build and maintain backend services for payment processing, fare calculations, and transaction flows
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient systems handling high volumes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features from concept to production
• Integrate with third-party payment providers and financial systems
• Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and observability
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, technical discussions, and best practices

Requirements

• Based in Romania for fully remote work
• Clear and effective communication in written and spoken English
• Solid experience building backend systems with Java or Kotlin
• Experience with payment systems, financial transactions, or high-integrity domains
• Understanding of distributed systems, scale, reliability, APIs, and service-based architectures
• Strong problem-solving, code quality focus, and collaborative mindset
