TL;DR

Senior Systems Administrator (VMware): Design, implement, and maintain enterprise VMware environments with an accent on high availability, performance, and security. Focus on optimizing virtual infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing disaster recovery.

Location: On-site in Patuxent River, MD. Active Top Secret or Interim Top Secret clearance required.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 a year

What you will do

Design, implement, and maintain VMware environments including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
Manage and optimize virtual infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability
Administer Windows and Linux servers in virtualized settings
Perform upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery planning/testing
Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and support storage/networking components
Implement security best practices and mentor junior administrators

Requirements

Deep expertise in VMware virtualization technologies
Experience with Windows and/or Linux server administration
Knowledge of storage (SAN/NAS), networking (VLANs, NIC teaming)
Active Top Secret or Interim Top Secret clearance
Ability to serve as technical escalation point
