Salary: £48,700 - £62,150 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience

What you will do

• Work between sites in Lincoln and Sheffield, providing on-site technical support as the sole engineer in Lincoln.
• Maintain multimedia newsgathering, production, broadcast, and IT equipment, offering technical advice to users.
• Maintain broadcast vehicles, perform quarterly safety checks, and support building issues with facilities management.
• Work on a flexible shift basis (typically 8:00-18:00, 4-5 days a week) to ensure operational continuity.
• Collaborate with wider hirify.global engineering team including engineers in York and Hull.

Requirements

• Experience working at broadcast engineer level with understanding of broadcast and production systems in multi-platform environments.
• Familiarity with diagnostic and monitoring tools for troubleshooting and fault identification.
• Ability to prioritise tasks by service impact, work calmly under pressure, with relevant engineering qualifications and practical experience.
• Good interpersonal skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Some experience with outside broadcasts or live events.
