What you will do

• Lead and own key components of the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Review and analyze financial statements to identify trends, variances, and actionable insights.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring proper controls and accuracy.
• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and detailed variance analysis for the AWM Finance group.
• Partner with the VP of Finance on strategic initiatives, reporting enhancements, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
• Location: Must be based in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
• CPA or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
