What you will do

• Execute profitable trading strategies in the Contractual Assets space to drive desk PnL.
• Collaborate with the Origination team to identify optimal assets, contract structures, and pricing strategies.
• Develop and maintain quantitative tools for deal evaluation of PPAs, Virtual Storage, and other structured products.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of assets under contract, from evaluation and pricing to performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with Risk Management to ensure transparency on inherent risk and compliance with internal governance.
• Develop a strong market view on European power, gas, and emissions markets.

Requirements

• Proven experience (3+ years) in energy trading, asset optimization, or structured energy products.
• Strong track record of PnL responsibility in a front-office or closely aligned role.
• Detailed understanding of European energy markets and the interaction of commodities.
• Expertise in pricing models, structured products, and risk management.
• Quantitative background with excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Must be based in or able to work in Essen, Germany.
