What you will do

• Design, install, terminate, and test copper (CAT5e/CAT6/CAT6A) and fiber optic cabling systems
• Perform cable routing, labeling, documentation, and certification per Army/DoD standards using OTDR, power meters, and analyzers
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues across LAN/WAN infrastructure and interpret technical drawings/blueprints
• Support network upgrades, expansions, relocations, and preventative maintenance on Army facilities
• Maintain as-built drawings, test results, and records while ensuring TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC, and DoD compliance
• Coordinate with network engineers, admins, and project managers; adhere to safety/security protocols in classified environments

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance or higher
• Hands-on experience designing, installing, testing, maintaining copper and fiber optic cabling in secure environments
• Strong knowledge of DoD/Army standards, structured cabling, TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC, Unified Facilities Criteria
• Proficiency with testing tools (OTDR, power meters, cable analyzers) and troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues
• Ability to interpret blueprints, perform field work, and travel nationally 50-75%
• Experience in mission-critical network infrastructure support
