What you will do

• Architect and build foundational components of a multi-cell platform, including service routing, cloud networking, and account lifecycle management.
• Develop and automate tooling to migrate customer accounts from legacy environments to a new multi-cell architecture at scale.
• Write robust, high-quality backend services and infrastructure code primarily in Go and Python.
• Implement automation using Argo Workflows, Kubernetes, and Terraform to enhance platform reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with product engineering, security, and support teams to define technical direction and mentor other engineers.
• Own and troubleshoot complex distributed systems issues across application and network layers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend roles supporting SaaS applications.
• Proficiency in Go or Python with a track record of building large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts including load balancing, DNS, VPCs, and service mesh technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with cell-based or multi-tenant architectures and large-scale account migrations.
• Hands-on experience with nginx, Istio, Envoy, AWS Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, or Kubernetes CNI.
• Deep expertise in multi-cloud strategies and cost optimization.
• Exposure to or proficiency in Rust.
• Advanced certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
