What you will do

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and addenda to define scope of work.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and resolve issues.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and maintain cost databases.
• Prepare and submit formal bid proposals and assist with project handoff.

Requirements

• Strong background in commercial electrical construction projects
• Valid Maryland Journeyman or Master Electrician License
• Hands-on experience estimating power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
• Proficiency in reading construction drawings and specifications
• Ability to attend pre-bid meetings and site visits
